Its always someone else

I had to go visit my oncologist on Friday. It was just a routine port flush. They leave the ports in for a few years after treatment, just in case! When I went into the chemo room I just had to think about the new group of patients. Some of them had just started. I wonder how many people everyday hear those dreaded words, "You have cancer..". I thought of myself just last year. Going through life without any "real" problems. I almost had to pinch myself when I found out. Don't sweat the small stuff. You don't need to make a bucket list. Just live your life realizing that in the end all that matters is your family and friends.
